No. Ambit uses CSV/Excel import instead of bank connections. You download a transaction file from your bank's website and import it into the app. This is more private, more reliable, and doesn't require sharing your bank login.

Any bank that lets you export transactions as CSV or Excel — which is virtually all of them. Ambit auto-detects column formats from most major banks.

The Debt Planner (Pro) helps you pay off credit cards and loans faster. Choose snowball or avalanche strategy, set custom payment plans per debt, and track your actual payments against the plan each month. It simulates your payoff timeline and shows how much interest you'll save. The built-in Lump Sum Analyzer helps you figure out the best way to deploy a bonus, tax refund, or extra cash across your debts.

After purchase, you receive an HTML file and a license key. Open the file in your browser, enter your key on first launch, and your plan is activated. The key is stored locally — no internet connection needed after activation.

If you clear localStorage, your data will be lost. You can re-import your CSV files to restore transactions. Your license key will still work — just re-enter it to reactivate your plan.

Yes. All plans include lifetime updates. When a new version is available, you can re-download the latest file from your purchase receipt. Pro plan users automatically get every new feature we build.
