1. Overview

Ambit Budget Pro is operated by Kifolloy AIR, LLC.

Ambit Budget Pro is a personal finance tracking application that runs entirely in your web browser. We designed it from the ground up to keep your financial information private. This policy explains our approach to data and the very limited information involved when you use our product.

2. Data That Stays on Your Device

All of your financial data — transactions, account balances, budgets, categories, bills, forecasts, and any other information you enter into Ambit Budget Pro — is stored exclusively on your device using your browser's local storage.

This means:

• Your data is never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers
• Your data is never transmitted over the internet
• We have no ability to access, view, or read your financial information
• If you clear your browser data, your Ambit data is removed — because it only exists locally

3. What We Don't Collect

We want to be crystal clear about what we do not do:

• No financial data collection — We never see your transactions, balances, budgets, or any financial figures
• No analytics on financial data — We don't track how you use your money or what categories you create
• No third-party tracking — We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts on the app
• No advertising — We don't serve ads or share data with ad networks
• No data mining — Your information is not used for profiling, marketing, or any other purpose
• No device fingerprinting — We don't collect IP addresses, device identifiers, or behavioral data

4. License Key Validation

The only server interaction in Ambit Budget Pro is license key validation. When you activate a purchased license, the app sends your license key to ambitbudget.com to verify it is valid.

During this process:

• Only the license key itself is transmitted — no financial data, no personal information
• An instance identifier (a random string, not tied to your identity) is included
• The server responds with the license status (valid/invalid) and your tier
• No other data is sent or received during this exchange
• After activation, the app works entirely offline

5. Local Storage and Cookies

Ambit Budget Pro uses your browser's localStorage to save:

• Your app preferences and settings (theme, display options, etc.)
• Your financial data (stored entirely on your device)
• Your license activation status

We do not use traditional HTTP cookies, third-party cookies, or any cross-site tracking mechanisms. The marketing website (ambitbudget.com) does not set any cookies. Everything stays in your browser on your device.

6. Third-Party Services

We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your data to any third parties. The only external services involved are:

• Lemon Squeezy — Our payment processor for license purchases. They handle payment information directly; we never see or store your credit card details. Their privacy policy governs any data you provide during checkout.
• Vercel — Website and API hosting (for the license validation endpoint only)
• Google Fonts — The landing page loads the DM Sans font from Google Fonts. This is a standard web font request and does not involve any of your financial data.

None of these services have access to your financial data within the app.

7. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties because we don't have your data. There is nothing to share. Your financial information exists only on your device and is under your complete control.

8. Data Security

Because your data never leaves your device, traditional server-side security concerns don't apply. Your data is as secure as your device and browser. We recommend:

• Keeping your device and browser up to date
• Using a device password or biometric lock
• Regularly backing up your Ambit data using the app's built-in export feature

9. GDPR and CCPA Compliance

Since Ambit Budget Pro does not collect, process, or store personal data on any server, most provisions of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) do not apply to us in the traditional sense.

That said, we fully support the principles behind these regulations:

• Data minimization — We collect nothing beyond what's needed for license validation
• User control — You have complete control over your data at all times
• Right to deletion — You can delete all your data anytime by clearing your browser storage or using the app's data management features
• Transparency — This policy tells you everything about how data is handled

10. Children's Privacy

Ambit Budget Pro is a general audience application for personal finance tracking. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app stores all data locally and we have no data collection mechanism, there is no risk of inadvertently collecting children's data.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since we are committed to a privacy-first approach, any changes will maintain or strengthen our privacy protections — never weaken them.
