Where each one wins

If you're all-Apple, Copilot is genuinely great. Here's when Ambit makes more sense.

Copilot is right for you if…

  • Your daily driver is an iPhone or iPad and you live in the Apple ecosystem
  • You appreciate (and will pay for) genuinely best-in-class visual polish on iOS
  • You want automatic Plaid bank sync and don't mind the cloud trade-off
  • You want investment tracking and budgeting in the same app
  • $95/yr is acceptable for the experience

Ambit is right for you if…

  • You use Windows or Android (or a mix) and want one app that works on all of them
  • You want your financial data on your device — never on someone's server
  • You're done with annual subscriptions and want to pay once
  • You don't want to hand your bank login to a third party
  • You're okay pasting a monthly CSV from your bank in exchange for $445 saved over 5 years

The honest cross-platform note. If you're an iPhone-only user, Copilot's iOS experience is hard to match — they built it for iOS first and you can feel that everywhere. Our iOS app is in the queue (Apple Developer approval pending). If iOS native polish is the make-or-break factor for you, Copilot earns it.

But if you're a Windows user or an Android user, or you bounce between devices, or you want the same budget on a desktop browser when you're at your laptop — Copilot doesn't serve those well. We do. That's the trade.
